Common questions
Still have questions? Call or text (512) 710-4879, or email sales@containerspy.com.
What does "one-trip" mean?
A one-trip container has made a single voyage from the factory, usually carrying cargo from overseas. It is essentially new: clean, structurally sound and wind & watertight, with only light handling marks.
Which size do I need?
A 20' holds about 1,172 cu ft, roughly a one-car garage, and fits where space is tight. A 40' doubles the floor space for about the same delivery effort. A 40' High Cube adds a foot of height (9'6" tall), which helps with tall equipment or shelving.
How fast can you deliver?
Most orders are delivered within 3–7 business days after you accept your quote, depending on your location and the depot's availability. We send you a delivery window before the driver is booked.
Is delivery included in the price?
The market prices above are depot prices. Your written quote includes delivery to your ZIP code as one all-in price, so there are no fees added later.
How far do you deliver?
We deliver within about 200 miles of each depot. If you're farther out, ask us anyway: we can often source from another depot in our network and quote it.
How much space do I need for delivery?
Plan for about 75 ft of straight approach for a 20' and 100 ft for a 40', a path about 12 ft wide, and 16 ft of overhead clearance. The truck needs firm, level ground the whole way in, not just at the spot where the container sits.
How is the container delivered?
Most containers come on a tilt-bed truck that slides the unit onto the ground, so you don't need any equipment on site. If your site needs a crane or side-loader, we quote that separately.
Do I need a foundation?
Not usually. Compacted gravel, concrete, asphalt or firm dry soil all work. Many buyers set the corners on level timber or concrete blocks to keep the floor dry and the doors square.
Do I need a permit?
It depends on your city, county or HOA. Some areas require a permit or have placement rules for storage containers, so check with your local office before delivery. Getting approvals is the buyer's responsibility.
Can I choose which way the doors face?
Yes. Tell us the door direction and the exact placement spot when you accept your quote, and the driver places it that way when the site allows.
When do I pay, and how?
Only after you accept your written quote. We confirm the container and your delivery site first. You can pay by bank transfer (ACH) at no extra cost, or by card with a 2% processing fee.
Can I cancel?
Yes, at no charge any time before you pay. Once an order is paid, all sales are final because we source and schedule the container just for you.
What if the container arrives damaged?
Inspect it before the driver leaves, note any damage on the delivery paperwork, and email us photos the same day. We'll work with the supplier and carrier on a repair or replacement.
Can I order more than one?
Yes. Order one container or a few dozen; we'll quote the units and delivery together and coordinate the drops.
